On the 2014 French trip will be staying at Le Château de Warsy, less than two hours from Calais. Each day will be a combination of on-site adventure activities such as archery and abseiling and a French language activity session where student will prepare language that they will be encouraged to use in local excursions.

We have had a great time at the chocolate factory, learnt about how to make it, bought lots of presents however eating the coco beans not so nice! Lunch was at the beach and after some beach art, we are at the ferry port in Calais. The good news is we are booked on an earlier ferry. Estimated arrival time at Challoner 6pm. Chocolate factory - here we come!
We had a very exciting last night, as we were lucky enough to see some amazing lightning. It lit up the sky! Pods are all clean (you will be glad to hear all boys are great at tidying up!), breakfast had and we are now on our way to the chocolate factory. The staff have been very complimentary about our boys as they have been polite and well behaved. Challoner staff are all very proud. We will keep you up dated on this blog about travel progress. We are on our way home !!!!!
Our last evening.
Our final night has begun. It started with a beautiful, reflective service to celebrate the feast of Pentecost and to give thanks for our lovely weekend. This was taken by Mrs Bailey around the camp fire. We are currently playing rounders with a very competitive Mr Norton before toasting marshmallows on the fire and more games. I think it's fair to say by the amount of laughter we are all having fun. See you tomorrow! Please check the blog for information on our journey home via the chocolate factory!
Chateau de Pierrefonds
We had a lovely evening which included a scavenger hunt and eating a big birthday cake for the birthday boy Lawrence. We are currently on our way to Chateau de Pierrefonds - a big castle where they filmed the BBC programme Merlin. We will be running a drama activity whilst exploring the Chateau. Currently we are having a welcome break from the heat, a little wet however brightening up. This evening we shall be having a sing along around the camp fire whist eating marshmallows. I will try to upload more images this evening and will upload many when we are back in the UK.
